Bend YIMBY News - 10/3/2025
Bend / Oregon
On Monday, October 6th (World Habitat Day), from 6 to 8 PM, at Bevel Brewing, we will be gathering to remember those who we have lost to the housing shortage:
When friends, family, and neighbors are pressured or forced to leave because of the housing crisis, our community loses something precious. It’s a deep hurt we rarely name or acknowledge.
This gathering is for anyone who feels that loss and wants to honor the people who’ve had to move away. Join us for a pint, share stories, and remember the incredible neighbors who are no longer here. They were an irreplaceable part of Bend’s community, and we are poorer for having lost them.
RSVP here if you can: https://www.facebook.com/events/777698431623655/
Looks like there may be several elected officials and/or candidates present. We always appreciate when they take their time to talk about housing.
Another initiative that we’re working on with our friends at Central Oregon Land Watch: “re-legalizing” neighborhood commercial. Read more about it here and be sure to sign the petition:
